Drum filters are self cleaning systems that contain an automatic mechanical sieve. As the name implies the sieve is in the shape of a drum.

Affordable drum filters have been available now for a number of years and are scaled down versions of filters that are used extensively on industrial applications.

Fish solids are intercepted and directed to waste within minutes. There is no time for them to break down into phosphates and nitrates. Thus helping to reduce pond algae growth.

This is the gravity fed version of this extremely popular filter. It is designed to connect onto a 4″/110mm bottom drain pipework.

Maximum of 3 bottom drains can be connected.

It has an integrated moving bed filter for biological chamber with Hel-X 13 Filter Media.

Oase recommend it for ponds up to 140,000 ltr (no fish stock) /  70,000 ltr (low stocking) or 35,000 ltr (high stocking).
