As we move from winter into spring our fish will become more active they will wake up and start feeding more. 

Give your pond a spring clean. Run a vacuum or siphon over the pond base. This will lift any sediment that has accumulated over winter and keep your water looking sharp. 

It’s a good idea to check the filter over and give it a rinse out with fresh pond water. Remove any excess sediment and clean or replace soiled sponges.

To help refresh the biomass in the filter a pond bomb or bio supplement is useful.

I know everyone is just as excited as I am to get the new season underway. It will only be a week or so before we are opening up the ponds for retail sales.

Last week we took delivery of our second shipment of Koi. The shipment was massive, our van was far to small for this one and we needed a lorry!
