Nexus 320+ STARTER PACK

This pack is an ideal choice for those constructing a medium to large size Koi pond. It will include a Nexus 320+ filter system, Varipump 20,000, 55watt UV, 100 Air pump. 

Nexus filters are probably the most widely used and recognizable systems in the Koi hobby today. They are manufactured in the UK by the award winning Evolution Aqua and are designed to be compact and simple to maintain. The cleaning process is achieved by utilizing an air compressor for agitation, followed by the opening of valves to sluice dirt to waste.

 

Varipump by Evolution Aqua is a controllable pond pump, suitable for large ponds. Output and energy consumption can be controlled at the push of a button allowing you to set the flow rate to your needs. The 20,000 unit will have more than sufficient output to operate both your filter system and skimmer unit with ease. During the winter months the output can be reduced to enable some significant energy savings.

 

Every pond needs a UV clarifier to ensure crystal clear algae free water. In this set we have the very capable 55watt UV from Evolution Aqua. It will be able to maintain a system of up to 20,000 Litre.

YouTube has some great content that will help you learn the basics of Koi pond construction.

I recommend you watch some of the videos from “Lee Calladine”. The “How to Build a Block Work Koi Pond” is an old video but still extremely relevant and should not be missed. I would also recommend the “Step by Step Drum Filter Install” not only will this video help with a drum filter it is equally useful for anyone installing a Nexus.
