Season is off to a great start!

After the long wet winter it’s great to be out selling fish again and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been in to look at the Koi.

Seeing the old faces and having a friendly chat is one of the best things about working at the Japanese Water Gardens.  I knew we would get some good feedback, the Koi this year are looking better than ever – even when its raining!

What is especially rewarding is meeting the new customers. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many new ponds are being built and I promise you are going to enjoy your new hobby.

With all that’s going on in the world  we need some relaxation time. When the sun is out and you are in the garden getting some fresh air you feel relaxed, close to nature. Your problems are not gone but ponds are great medicine.

I noticed this post on the “JWG Koi Carp and Pond Fish Keepers” Facebook group. What a lovely pond!

Internet sales are back up and running. We have been busy up loading pictures, videos and creating the listings for each fish.

The first deliveries have been dispatched this week too Wiltshire, South East London and Manchester.

I made a YouTube video last year to show you how its done if you missed it here is a quick link.

Buying Koi on line is simple, convenient and is becoming increasingly popular.

We ship them on a reliable over night service that costs just £20.  Amazing value for money!

Speaking of YouTube have you had a chance to check out the recent videos from Yorkshire Koi. He recently posted an un boxing of the new surge filter from Evolution Aqua which was very informative. Please help support his channel he has some great content and it does take a lot of time putting videos together. Like, Subscribe and Post a comment.
Now is a good time to give your filters a spring clean. There will be a significant accumulation of winter detritus sitting on the bottom of the filter or blocking up your media.

Open up the drainage valves and swill some clean pond water around to flush out the heavy gunk.

After a few days drop a few balls of Pure Pond Balls or a Pond Bomb to boost the biomass.

Treatments such as this can also help digest silt sitting on the bottom of the pond or trapped in hard to reach corners or folds behind the liner.

Make sure you take advantage of the voucher above. Until the end of the month you can save an extra 10% on any Bio treatments. If you are online then just use the BAC10 it will apply the discount for you.

If you are on YouTube or Facebook next week keep a look out for the pick of the day videos. I am going to start posting them again now the weather is improving.

Thanks for reading this weeks newsletter.
Lee.
